In the T4 4x4 through the Caucasus

Christian and Rieke have always been passionate about adventure and the feeling of freedom. When one day they discovered an old, rusty VW T4 4x4 standing in an abandoned yard, they immediately knew that this would be their next project. Without hesitation, they decided to restore the vehicle and convert it into a comfortable camper.

Christian, who already worked as an engineer and had good welding skills, brought his expertise to the project. Together they spent many weekends in the garage learning how to grind parts from another vehicle to later install them in their own VW T4 4x4. They removed the rust, replaced damaged parts and gave the vehicle a fresh coat of paint. In addition to the bodywork, they also devoted themselves to restoring the engine and drivetrain.

The engine was completely disassembled and given a thorough overhaul. Christian and Rieke replaced worn components, changed seals and made sure the engine was running properly again. They checked the drivetrain, including the gearbox, axles and differential, and repaired or replaced parts where necessary. Their careful restoration left the engine and drivetrain ready to serve them reliably over long distances.

With the restoration completed, Christian and Rieke started to expand the interior. They transformed the VW T4 4x4 into a cozy camper with a comfortable bed, a small kitchenette and enough storage space for their belongings. They didn't have a lot of space available, but they cleverly used every inch to create a functional yet cozy living space.

Finally, the day had come for Christian and Rieke to start their journey. They said goodbye to their families and friends, started the engine of their newly restored VW T4 4x4 and set off for Georgia. The roads were their home and they were ready to discover the challenges and beauties of the world.

The journey took them through picturesque landscapes, breathtaking mountains and remote villages. They met interesting people, learned about new cultures and tried the local cuisine. Their VW T4 4x4 took them safely through rough terrain and even crossed some impressive passes in the Caucasus.

They had their ups and downs along the way. There were moments of frustration when the vehicle broke down or the weather thwarted their plans. But they did not let that discourage them. They took on these challenges and always found a solution, whether through their engineering skills or the help of friendly locals they met on their journey.

Arriving in Georgia in the Caucasus, Christian and Rieke felt fulfilled by what they had achieved. Their restored VW T4 4x4 had taken them safely through hundreds of kilometers and given them unforgettable experiences. They had not only restored a vehicle, but also lived their passion for adventure and freedom. This trip would remain in their hearts forever and encourage them to tackle new exciting projects.

Christian and Karl, the founder of Pekaway and developer of the VAN PI control system, had known each other for many years. Their shared passion for adventure and technology had connected them from the very beginning. When Christian and Rieke decided to restore their VW T4 4x4 and convert it into a camper, Karl was more than willing to help them and test his innovative control system in their vehicle.

Christian and Rieke's journey through the Caucasus was not only an adventure, but also a test drive for the VAN PI control system developed by Karl. The challenging gravel roads and rough terrain of the Caucasus provided an excellent opportunity to test the performance and reliability of the system under real conditions.

During their trip, Christian, Rieke and their VW T4 4x4 easily overcame the challenges of the gravel roads thanks to the VAN PI control system. The system proved to be robust and reliable, even in the most demanding conditions, offering them full control of the vehicle while exploring the stunning landscapes of the Caucasus.

The test drive was not only an opportunity for Christian and Rieke to deepen their friendship with Karl, but also an opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions for improvements to the VAN PI system. They shared their experiences and observations with Karl to help optimize and refine the control system even further.

The journey through the Caucasus became an exciting adventure in which Christian and Rieke not only enjoyed the beauty of the landscapes, but also actively participated in the further development of the VAN PI control system. The combination of friendship, technology and adventure made their journey an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Christian, Rieke and Karl were proud of what they had achieved. By working together, they had not only restored a vehicle and an innovative control system, but also made an unforgettable journey through the Caucasus. Their story was an example of the power of collaboration and the joy of making dreams come true.
